We were down at Old Poway Park last weekend for breakfast on Saturday morning. It was one of those rare rainy days or at least threatening to rain. The small gauge train runs every Saturday to take the kids around the park, a short 10 minute or so ride twice around.
But apparently if its raining the steam engine has to be put back under shelter. That was what happened last week. We had just finished breakfast and I noticed the small steam locomotive backing up on the track to be put back into it's shed. I ran to catch it as it backed up to get some images. The engine was venting all of its steam as it made its way back to prepare for shutdown. A perfect chance with the camera. Images here were shot on the Nikon F3 with Kodak Tri-X 400 film processed personally using Kodak HC-110 developer for 6 minutes at 20 degrees centigrade with agitation for the first minute and three inversions every minute thereafter.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
