I took the whole week off. I needed the time to catch up on some personal things at home and just to relax too. Thursday we take off to Utah for our neice's wedding. It's a quick up and back and then off to the Film Photography Project walking workshop in San Clemente on Saturday and Sunday. I'm really looking forward to learning a lot more about the characteristics of film and film development especially around medium format. I haven't decided what gear to take except for the Rolleiflex which will definitely be in my bag. I'm leaning towards the Nikon F3.
Tomorrow I plan to drive out to Borrego Springs for some desert shots. The flowers are in the late stages of bloom so if I don't get out now, they'll be gone. I'll take along my Leica MP for black and white and the Rollei for the color shots. I'm going to concentrate on minimalistic shots tomorrow...I'm in a minimal mood.
Today, I took a few minutes to shoot the Fujifilm X100s in my backyard for some detail shots. I call this my creative exercise. I tried to do something different by shooting macro with the TCL-X100, the 50mm lens shot wide open with a 3 stop neutral density filter. I then worked with the images in Silver Efex Pro, just creatively experimenting.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
