One of the many benefits of working for UC San Diego is the opportunity to make the short trip to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography for meetings. Yesterday, I had one of those welcome chances to get down to "SIO" and after my meeting, walk along the beach to capture a few images. I had my Fujifilm X100s with me, my only remaining digital camera that gets used. The X100s is a Leica wannabe, it's a fun camera to use and the quality of the images are top notch.
I played around with some settings yesterday including exposure bracketing for a few shots. There was a wide dynamic range with the sun setting in the west in partly cloudy conditions. I processed these with Nik's software, just playing around with some settings. These are some of my favorites.
