It's been a very good week, makes it nice when there are so many things I'm open to with my camera. I've been less judgmental in my image taking and as a result have felt much less stress about the shot. I think it's true that as you gain experience in photography and with a particular camera you become much more discerning on what you're willing to take a photograph of. In my less experienced days with my Nikon DSLR almost anything, and I mean anything was a subject. Even taking that subject into post processing I was so willing to beat the heck out of any pixels in the raw file. I still have some of those shots to remind me never to go there again!
But film is completely different. I do almost nothing to my scanned files except to clean up dust spots or streaks. Even then, I'm hesitant to do a "clean up." Those artifacts are a result of my handwork whether done well or not. I'm learning to be more tolerant in many ways and just let the results fall where they will. It's such a sense of freedom, it's why I love film.
